Taylor Williams
Insurance Writer & Customer Advocate
Taylor Williams brings a fresh perspective to insurance and benefits writing, combining her background in social work with her experience navigating complex benefit systems for both herself and the families she's served. After spending five years as a hospital social worker helping patients understand their coverage options and discharge benefits, she realized that most people were missing out on services and savings simply because no one had explained their options clearly.
Taylor's path into insurance writing began when she started looking for simplified guides for her patients' families. When she found none, she started writing her own! Her ability to translate bureaucratic language into actionable steps quickly made her the go-to resource for colleagues dealing with insurance questions.
As a millennial, Taylor understands the financial pressures facing younger families. Her writing often focuses on helping people in their 20s and 30s make smart insurance decisions on tight budgets, whether that's choosing the right ACA plan or understanding life insurance basics.
Taylor currently freelances while pursuing her master's in public policy, with plans to advocate for clearer insurance communication at the policy level. When she’s not working to change the world of insurance, she spends time reading and playing with her nieces and nephews.
